Version 1.2 — effective 3 November 2026
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember something between pages, or between visits — that you have already answered the cookie banner, or that you are the same visitor who was here last week.
Similar technologies do the same job without being cookies: a script that runs in the page and sends information to another company, a small invisible image, or browser storage. This policy covers cookies and those technologies together.
2. How consent works on this website
The website uses a consent banner that runs on every page.
- Essential technologies are always active. They are what make the site and the forms work, and they remember your privacy choice. They cannot be switched off here, because the site cannot function without them.
- Optional technologies — statistics and marketing — are switched off until you select them.
- The banner offers three paths: Accept everything, Deny everything optional, or View preferences to choose per category.
- You can change your mind at any time with the Manage consent link in the footer of every page. Change your settings and we stop future optional tracking; it does not erase information already collected before you changed your mind.
- Acknowledging the privacy notice and choosing optional cookies are two separate things. You can read and accept the privacy policy and still deny statistics cookies.
The website has no advertising or marketing cookies. Nothing on the site profiles you for advertising, and no advertising technology is loaded.
3. Cookie inventory
This inventory was compiled on 29 October 2026 from a live scan: every public page of the website was loaded in a clean browser, the cookies actually set were recorded with their real expiry dates, and every third-party request the page makes was logged. The durations below are the values the website sets, not the defaults in a template.

4. What rejecting optional cookies does to the site
Nothing you need stops working. The booking form, the enquiry form, the WhatsApp links and the telephone links all keep working with every optional cookie denied. You will simply not be counted in our website statistics.
5. How to change or withdraw your choice
Use Manage consent in the footer of any page, or the settings link in the banner. Choose your categories and save. Your new choice applies from that point on; it does not remove information that was already collected while an earlier choice was in place.
You can also control cookies in your browser — every major browser lets you see what is stored, delete it, and block categories or individual sites. Blocking all cookies may affect how the consent banner behaves: the site will ask you again on each visit, because it cannot remember your answer.
6. Cookies we do not use
For the avoidance of doubt, the website does not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you, does not run a retargeting pixel, does not use session recording or heat-mapping software, and does not sell visitor data.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, this inventory is updated at the same time, and the version number and date below change. The current version is always the one published on doggydos.co.za.
